As our Selections & Design Assistant, you'll support our design and production teams to ensure projects run smoothly from concept to completion. You'll play a key role in material sourcing, vendor coordination, design documentation, and on-site support. This is a hybrid role that blends creative collaboration with meticulous project management, ideal for someone who enjoys both design and the logistics that make it all happen.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead designer with design development, space planning, and presentation prep
- Conduct field measurements and draft plans in Chief Architect or similar software
- Source materials, finishes, and fixtures to match the project vision
- Build mood boards and manage sample libraries
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare and organize design agreements, scopes of work, contracts, and schedules
- Maintain accurate documentation, calendars, and shared project folders
- Support project manager with ordering, delivery tracking, and inventory management
- Coordinate on-site meetings, document notes, and ensure project updates are communicated
- Attend installations, site walks, and photoshoots as needed
- Occasionally assist with material pickups or returns
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- 1 to 2 years of experience in design or construction coordination preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Confident communicator and team player
- Curious, proactive, and passionate about design and details
